Thank you so much for your kindness and support. It is often the kindness and support of allies like you that keeps us going.

I'm not LGBT, but I want to say I'm glad your organization exists for those who need it, and if I had a shul, I'd gladly welcome your members to do whatever, whenever. There's no time to hate. We are all a part of each other, even if we don't always agree or if we do things differently than each other, sometimes.

I am so glad to see Mt Sinai has opened their doors to those who are mourning this tragedy. It is good to see Orthodox people of all orientations viewing this as the hateful and inexcusable act that it was. Whether they see it solely as praying for the souls of Jews, or they see it as praying also against homophobia, their prayers will join with ours to reach the heavens. I hope some of our straight Orthodox brothers and sisters can understand why this hits so close to home for so many of us who are LGBT and Jewish. I am full of appreciation for the fact that I can sit in a Tirtzah meeting with a bunch of frum queer women and not fear for my safety - yet this tragedy is, unfortunately, a reminder that no matter how safe we might feel, there are those who would rather see us dead.
